Director and Owner
Twist and Flip Gymnastics Academy (formally Grimsby) was founded in September 2011 by Nicky Nicol. Nicky, being an ex regional and national gymnast who started at the age of 5 in yorkshire, started her coaching journey working alongside Beth Tweddle’s Total Gymnastics Academy in 2010 at Cleethorpes Leisure centre.

Nicky’s idea was to start small running out of school clubs trying to give more children the opportunity to try the sport. With the support of her husband Mark and her son Jack, Twist and Flip was launched. Today, Twist and Flip Gymnastics Academy successfully runs across 3 venues across the UK providing different opportunities to all areas of the community.Â
Being part of the gymnastics community was a big part of my life and has helped make me into the person I am today
